Oscar Schmidt OE30B Reviews 5

I bought this Guitar through Musicians friend on sale for $149.00. I was wanting a hollow body, and did not have a lot of money to spend, so I thought it might be a nice alternative to spending a bunch, yet getting to experiance a hollow body style, which I have never had the chance to do.

Although I am an amature player in the strictest sense, this guitar seems to be an excellent choice for the money. I have seen nothing else that comes close to it in the price range. It is well built, stays in tune and looks fantastic. The sound is great to my untrained ears, and with my Marshall amp hooked up, it holds sustain very well. Someday, when I am rich, maybe I will invest in a Gibson, but for now, I am very happy with the choice I made.

Honestly, the experts who have tried this guitar can probly trash things about it, but I have found it to be very reliable so far for my needs, so I can not really give you any dislikes at this time.

It wins hands down over my Epiphone hardbody that I hardly pick up anymore now. The toggle seems much stronger, and so far, it stays in tune much better than my SG. It also fits my needs much better sound wise than the Epiphone. I dont mean to trash on the Epi, but in the price range, I wish I would have bought this one first and saved my money on the Epiphone.

If you are on a budget, or just starting playing, this guitar is an excellent choice. The finish is superior for the money, and the electronics so far, have been very reliable.
